The SVR-P252 is the latest generation full-duplex vehicular repeater from Pyramid Communications that is fully compliant with the APCO Project 25 Phase 1 Digital Common Air Interface (CAI) protocol.
With Local Repeat (extending local coverage between portable users on a scene) and System Repeat (extending portable radio coverage back to dispatch using attached mobile radio interface), the SVR-P252 provides uncompromising on-scene coverage.
The all new P25 SmartTrunking™ feature works with KENWOOD Viking portables and Viking VM900 mobile radios to create a seam-less trunking handshake between the mobile radio network and SVR-P252 user. This ensures that por-table radio users outside the vehicle get quick and accurate notifications of all transmissions to the P25 network. Users will get indications of Channel Grant, Busy, Denial, Out of Range just as if they were on a trunked channel of the digital network.
