CMCE LIGHTNING SUPPRESSOR

HOW IT WORKS

The CMCE Lightning Suppressor is a Variable Electromagnetic Field Balancer (VEB). Designed using  Nikola Tesla patent technology, the CMCE uses a process called deionization to drain the atmosphere of the excess positive and negative ionic charges that build up during a thunderstorm. Once absorbed into the device, the CMCE internally rearranges the charges, turns them into harmless milliamperes, and grounds them through a ground wire. This process eliminates upward streamers by balancing the electrical field, preventing lightning strike formation within the CMCE coverage area.

CMCE VS. TRADITIONAL LIGHTNING RODS

A table comparing different lightning protection devices, including the CMCE Lightning Suppressor, Lightning Rod, and ESE.

CMCE LIGHTNING SUPPRESSOR

  • Does NOT attract lightning strikes
  • PREVENTS lightning strike formation
  • PREVENTS electrical surges and fires due to lightning strikes
  • MINIMAL maintenance
  • PROTECTS structures, boats, outdoor areas, and more
  • ONE device with LARGE coverage area, requiring ONE grounding wire

LIGHTNING RODS

  • ATTRACTS lightning strikes
  • Does NOT always effectively ground electrical charges
  • Often CAUSES electrical surges, fires, maintenance, and costly repairs
  • ONLY protects structures
  • Does NOT protect outdoor areas
  • Requires MULTIPLE rods and wiring for large structures

ELECTRICAL VOLTAGE TEST

The electrical voltage of a lightning rod was laboratory tested by The Technical Institute of Energy, utilizing a pointed lightning generator placed 38 cm. above the tip of the rod and the voltage produced a fire. Subsequently, the CMCE Lightning Suppressor was tested with the same pointed lightning generator, applying the maximum amount of voltage at 140,000 volts. A fire never occurs during the CMCE test, however, there is an observation of small streams of electrical current passing through the CMCE to the grounding wire, validating efficacy compared to the traditional Franklin Lightning Rod.

INSTALLATIONS

BUILDINGS

The CMCE must be installed at least 3-6 feet above the highest point of a structure, using a 1.5” aluminum or galvanized steel pipe. The mast can be mounted to the roof, the side of the structure, a tree, or a flagpole. In some cases, when center roof installations are required, a tripod or roof bracket can be used. The CMCE device must be grounded to an existing or new Delta ground system using a 1/0 copper wire with a ground resistance of less than 5 ohms. A new grounding system can be created to reach the desired level of resistance.

VESSELS

The CMCE should be installed at the highest point, exceeding at least 1 foot above any existing equipment or antennas. VHF can be wrapped in heat shrink and the CMCE installed at the highest point, below VHF. The CMCE’s support mast of 1.5” galvanized steel should be mounted to a pole that is attached to mast. A single, straight ground wire run is optimal, using 4 AWG. Grounded to the vessel’s busbar, anodes, or a grounding plate.

TESTIMONIAL

"We suffered a lightning strike to our home and lost everything. Went online under lightning protection systems and found Capital Electronics and the CMCE unit. After checking other systems, we found the CMCE unit to be the most reliable and they answered all my questions and concerns. It is the newest technology and has a great track record. It was a no brainer!"
